Order time:
In general any online orders will be dispatched within 3 -5 days. Every product is baked to order. If you require the products sooner please contact us and we will see what we can do. For larger orders such as Wedding and Occasion cakes please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Ingredients:
Taste is so important to us and to achieve this, quality ingredients are at the heart of what we do. Doves Farm flour, British butter, free-range eggs, unrefined Fair-trade sugar, Green & Blacks cocoa and chocolate, and Madagascan vanilla are our store-cupboard staples. We complement these with unwaxed lemons, succulent British raspberry jam, British carrots and apples, and other fine foods to make our cakes scrumptious - local sourcing is important to us, and we try to minimize food miles wherever possible. Our Brownies contain 70% cocoa dark chocolate. Please contact us if you have queries regarding ingredients or allergens. Allergens including nuts, sesame, eggs, dairy, gluten and soya are all ingredients used in our catering kitchen premises. We therefore can never guarantee that traces of these allergens will not be found in other foods.
Shelf life:
The brownies will be at their eating best if you store them in a cool place in an airtight container and consume them within the best before date (usually 14 days from the day of dispatch). Sponge's wont last as long, 5 days is about right. But all of our products are freshly baked so they can be frozen when you receive them. If you are concerned about the shelf life of a particular product please contact us.
Personalized messages:
You have an option of sending a short personal message with your delivery. Please note that we will reject any messages that we feel are defamatory, racist, offensive, abusive, indecent and obscene or in breach of confidence, copyright or other legal rights.
Payments:
Nochex takes all online payments for secure credit/debit card transactions. In the event that you wish to pay by cheque or BACS, you must contact us directly - telephone 0118 9968446. We cannot dispatch packages until payment has been received and funds cleared.
Delivery:
Delivery charge varies for each product. We are currently only offering delivery to Mainland UK, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Isle of Skye, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. We currently use Royal Mail for postal deliveries. Royal Mail can take 1-3 days to deliver after the date of dispatch. If it is important for your order to arrive on a specific date, we recommend opting for delivery a few days earlier than your desired delivery date. We cannot be held responsible for slow or late delivery by Royal Mail. We will not be responsible for the non-delivery of a package if the postal address given to us is incorrect. We regret that we are unable to post orders to an address containing a PO Box number or from persons placing an order whose own address contains a PO Box number.
Orders in and around Berkshire can be hand delivered by our team, we can liaise with you to ensure someone will be in to receive the goods. If we have attempted delivery and no one is home we cannot be responsible for this. We will always agree a specified time and someone must be there to receive the goods.
Wedding and Occasion cakes are ALWAYS hand delivered by the team.
Cancellations:
Online orders can be cancelled up to 24 hours after they were processed, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations after the order has been dispatched as the products are classed as fresh food and are perishable items. Any cancellations on larger orders such as Wedding or Occasion cakes may loose their deposit.
Refunds:
If in the unlikely event that you have a complaint or problem with the ordered items, we must receive your complaint in writing and all packages must be returned to us by post within 10 days of receiving the order. Please send the package back by recorded delivery and keep your proof of postage. This does not apply to Bespoke cakes, please contact us regarding this. If you have ordered a cake and were not present on delivery we cannot refund for this.
